Looking to rent artwork in Dublin? A Room Downstairs offers artwork hire for photographers, interior designers, stylists and production teams across Dublin. We supply original European paintings, prints and works on paper, sourced directly from Europe, for editorial photo shoots, interiors photography, film and TV sets, and property staging. Collect pieces yourself for a short shoot, or book our full-day on-site service, where we curate, deliver, hang and remove the art for you with no drilling and no wall damage. Standard Hire (Self-Directed)

Ideal for smaller shoots, individual rooms, or teams managing their own logistics.

• Rental Duration: Up to 48 hours from collection to return (extended hire available upon request).

• Hire Rates:

  • €25 + VAT per piece for artworks listed under €400 on our website.

  • €50 + VAT per piece for artworks listed at €400 and above on our website.

• Collection & Return: Pickup and drop-off in Donnybrook, Dublin 4. Full address provided on booking confirmation.

• Delivery & Collection (Dublin Area only):

  • One-way delivery: €50 + VAT

  • Round-trip (delivery & post-shoot collection): €80 + VAT
     

• Eligible Pieces: Works on board, canvas, or unglazed framing. Please note that pieces framed with glass are not available under Standard Hire.

Full-Day On-Site Service

A collaborative, turnkey service designed for whole-house shoots, high-end staging, and editorial features.

• Rate: €500 + VAT (Full Day) — 50% deposit payable upon booking confirmation.

• Pre-Shoot Curation: A preliminary consultation and exchange of shoot moodboards or location photos to tailor a selection of curated pieces matching the property's scale, tone, and color palette.

• On-Site Collaboration: Dedicated on-site styling and consultation alongside the interior designer and photographer to hang, prop, and position artwork as the shoot unfolds.

• Zero-Damage Installation: All temporary placement and hanging utilizes specialized, non-invasive systems—no drilling, structural fixings, or wall repairs required.

• Full Wrap Service: Complete de-installation, professional repacking, and site clearance at the conclusion of the day.

• Transport Included (Dublin Area): Comprehensive round-trip transit and white-glove art handling to and from location.

• Eligible Pieces: Full access across all catalogued works, including glazed and high-value pieces.

Booking & Logistics

• Payment: Hire fees and transport charges are settled securely online prior to release or dispatch.

• Damages & Liability: The renter is fully liable for the listed sale price of any artwork damaged, lost, or compromised during the hire period, including client-managed transport.

• Advance Notice: Bookings must be requested via email at least 48 hours prior to the shoot date and remain subject to scheduling confirmation and inventory availability. 

• Viewing is available prior to shooting in Donnybrook, by appointment or at the shoot location.
